• increase self esteem and confidence
• identify feelings and blocks to emotional expression & growth
• find an avenue for communication through the use of simple  art                       materials 
 Mission Statement
The Art Therapy Institute (ATI) brings art to the places people are every day.  ATI improves access to mental health services for diverse populations and promotes education and awareness about art therapy.  

ATI’s initiatives include:
·      Master's-level clinical work in community settings 
·      Educational workshops
·      Presenting at professional conferences
·      Community art shows 
·      Supervising interns
·      Fundraising & grant writing
·      Community collaboration and partnerships with nonprofit and  
       governmental agencies, universities, and public schools
