Offering individual and group art therapy services to children, adolescents, adults and families
Art therapy can help clients
- express feelings too difficult to talk about
- increase self esteem and confidence
- identify feelings and blocks to emotional expression & growth
- find an avenue for communication
through the use of simple art materials
We contract Masters level art therapists in the community, to bring therapy to the
places people are everyday
Programs may be found in community centers, after-school programs, residential
settings, hospitals, day treatment programs, day care centers, and battered women's
shelters.
We are excited to be bringing art therapy to Durham Public schools with the CAPS (Creative Arts in Public & Private Schools) program at the Durham Arts Council.
These will be some of the groups offered to principals and school staff in the CAPS
